I managed to start The Apple Orchard by CCN on the 19th but don't have much done.  My stitchy bug called and he is at the North Pole hanging out with Santa.  He said he won't be back until it gets cold.  I guess there won't be alot of stitching progress by me for a while longer.

September Gifted Gorgeousness

Hi Blogger Friends.  The surgery on my wrist went well.  I am finally able to start stitching and crocheting a little bit.  Only problem is my stitchy bug is still on vacation.  I think I am going to start something new.  A LHN or CCN piece for an autumn SAL on facebook.

It's time for my late GG post.  This is being hosted by JO.  We all have projects that have been gifted to us or pieces that we are doing as gifts.  The Magazine was gifted to me by our wonderful hostess.  I made a tad bit of progress on Mini New York by Satsuma Street.

I have been working on my Groovy Granny afghan.  This is the first strip minus the last round.

I will be back Friday for the smalls SAL.  I actually managed to finish 2.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving such nice comments.   Linda

Lizzie Kate Month - Week 3

Hi Blogger Friends.  Thank you for all of the nice comments and well wishes.  I did go see the orthopedic surgeon last Tuesday.  I have
De Quervain's Tendinosis
De Quervain's tendinosis occurs when the tendons around the base of the thumb are irritated or constricted. The word "tendinosis" refers to a swelling of the tendons. Swelling of the tendons, and the tendon sheath, can cause pain and tenderness along the thumb side of the wrist. This is particularly noticeable when forming a fist, grasping or gripping something, or when turning the wrist.
Anatomy
Two of the main tendons to the thumb pass through a tunnel (or series of pulleys) located on the thumb side of the wrist. Tendons are rope-like structures that attach muscle to bone. Tendons are covered by a slippery thin soft-tissue layer, called synovium. This layer allows the tendons to slide easily through a fibrous tunnel called a sheath.
Any swelling of the tendons and/or thickening of the sheath, results in increased friction and pain with certain thumb and wrist movements.

I'm having minor surgery done tomorrow and won't be able to stitch or crochet for 2 - 3 weeks.  In fact I haven't stitched in the last week I have been doing jigsaw puzzles.  I strongly urge all of you to see a doctor if you have any pain in your wrist or thumb.  This has been going on for about 8 weeks and it is very very painful.  You can go HERE to learn more about it and see what he is going to do.  (Easier than me trying to explain it.)

I did work on a different piece for the third week.

Lizzie Kate Month - Week 2

Hi Blogger Friends.  Thank you for all of the nice comments.

I have made a little progress the last week on my projects.  Not so much the last 2 days so not sure if I will have anything to show next week.  Its getting harder to stitch with my stupid hand.  I see the orthopedic doctor next Tuesday.  Next month is my birthday.  I have a couple ideas in mind.  Work on a different Clouds Factory piece each day and/or start a new piece each day.  Just depends on what the doctor does.

Hi Blogger Friends.  As you can tell by the title - Lizzie Kate sorta won.  It was a tie so I broke it.

First I thought I would show you what I worked on in July.

Mad Hatter - I had to stop for a while.  I had major burn out on all of that dark blue.

Australia by Clouds Factory

Flip-it Stamps - It's still very hot here and my left hand is not working so I haven't been to productive.

July Smalls SAL

Hi Blogger Friends.  I'm only a day late this month.  The smalls SAL is being hosted by Heather.  Her blog is Stitching Lotus.

Finish 16
May Stamp - Lizzie Kate
14ct Beige Aida
Started 9-14-14
Finished 7-9-17

Boy am I good or what.  It only took me almost 3 years to finish.

I have decided that my So Many Stitches a Week is going to be January - May and October thru December.  The older I get the worse the summers are for me and I have a birthday in September.  I haven't touched Hatter in a couple weeks.  I have been working on Australia by Clouds Factory.

For August I have decided to stitch one designer for the month.  I will pull out a different UFO each day and work on it.  I need your HELP.  Please help me decide which one.

Lizzie Kate
Satsuma Street
Clouds Factory

I will be starting on August 1.  Anybody want to join me??

Thanks for stopping by and voting.  Thank you also for the well wishes.   I am finally getting fewer headaches.       Linda

July Gifted Gorgeouness

Hi Blogger Friends.  I'm late as usual posting for GG.  This is being hosted by Jo.  We all have projects that have been gifted to us or pieces that we are doing as gifts.  The magazine was gifted to me by our wonderful hostess.  I finished mini London and started mini New York.  The last one in the set.  The bottom fabric is the same color as the top one.

New York has a lot of large sections of color so I plan on getting it done in the next few months.  IF I do I will start Marie Antoinette for this SAL which will probably take me about 10 years to complete.

The weather turned nasty hot again and my 4 month headache is really beginning to agitate me.  Needless to say, I spend a lot of time laying on the bed with the AC and fan on.  I have finished a small that I'll post at the end of the month.  I have also been working on Hatter.  I only have about 6000 stitches left but when I am only managing maybe a 100 stitches a day its going to take me forever to finish.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving me such sweet comments.   Linda

June Smalls SAL and Longest Day SAL

Hi Blogger Friends.  I'm a couple days late with the Smalls SAL.  At least I got one done this month.  This is being hosted by Heather of Stitching Lotus.

Finish 15
Mini London - Satsuma Street
14 ct Delft Blue
Started 10-12-15
Finished 7-1-17

I seem to be doing the same thing that I've done for the last several summers.  NOT STITCH MUCH
I live in the Sierra Nevada foothills at about 1200' elevation.  In the last 3 weeks we had 11 days straight at over a 100.  We had a few nice days but now we're going back into the very high 90's.  What was worse at night it only cooled down to the low 90's or high 80's. Needless to say, not much stitching got done.  My legs were not very happy.  I did sorta do Jo's Longest Day SAL except mine was a Longest Day stitch-a-thon.  It took me 5 days to work on 16 projects.

1 - 4  Halloween Rules by Lizzie Kate

5 - 8  Same

9 - 12  Same

13 - 16  Flip-it Stamps by Lizzie Kate.  I just stitched the borders.

Just for fun today I counted my 750 UFO's by designer.  These are the top ones:  Lizzie Kate 215
Heart in Hand 76, Prairie Schooler 50 and Little House Needleworks/Country Cottage Needleworks 47.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope to post an update on something next Sunday.    Linda

So Many Stitches a Week - Week 24

Hi Blogger Friends.  As always, thank you for all of the awesome comments.  Two weeks ago it was in the 60's here and rainy all week.  This past week has been in the 90's.  I guess staying in the AC makes a lot of stitches.  I did 3388 stitches this week.

After

Before

I know I won't get near that much done this week.  I'm joining Jo in her Longest Day SAL on Wednesday.  I'm going to see how many of the Lizzie Kate smalls I can work on that I have started.
Tuesday is shopping day.  We'll see how many I can do.

Thanks for stopping by.    Linda

So Many Stitches a Week - Week 23

Hi Blogger Friends.  Thank you for all of the nice comments.  They are very aopreciated.
I'm kinda in shock right now.  I didn't think I did as many stitches this week on Hatter as did last.  I actually did more.  I did 1952 stitches and I finished the gigantic hat.  I'm still loving working on it.  Sorry, you have to see it again next Sunday.

So Many Stitches a Week - Week 22

Hi Blogger Friends.  Well, it's hot and my stitchy bugs ran away to San Francisco where its cool.  The only one that stayed is Hatter.  I guess for a while I will only be working on him.  When one comes back for a visit I will work on one of the others.  I was determined to get the ginormous teapot done this week.   All 1562 stitches for a total of 1634 this week.

I did manage to work on two more before the bugs left.

Sweet Spring  (I didn't like the big blue flower in the middle of the rabbit so I left it off)

Jane Eyre
